A couple of years ago I met Chef Tianna Feaster as we were both participating in a volunteer project with the Prince George’s County Chapter of the Continental Societies Inc. This was the project in which I was working with sixth grade boys of a local elementary school by facilitating a creative writing workshop. The program as a whole focused on tapping into the boys’ creative and entrepreneurial skills and incorporating a health component. Chef Tianna was brought in to do a healthy eating/cooking presentation with the class. This was our initial meeting that I would fall back on when I reached out to her last year.
As you recall, last summer my first article for Monarch Magazine was a health article that featured Chef Tianna. Since that time we’ve been somewhat of a dynamic duo. As I’ve been positioning myself as a full on communications consultant, she enlisted my help with a few tasks for her business. Since that time, things have been like peanut butter and jelly. She recently celebrated the launch of her book; Feast Your Eyes On This: Food & YOU Devotional Cookbook. Just before the launch, Black Health Matters reached out to Chef Tianna and I. They were interested in a review of the book.
Today, my review of Chef Tianna’s cookbook is featured on Black Health Matters. Check It out.
