Think you’re a poet, but not sure if you really know it? Do you need time and constructive criticism to help fine tune your writing? George Washington University (GWU) is offering a poetry workshop starting  from September 13 to December 6. The workshop will convene on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9, and will be facilitated by poet Bruce Snider who has authored two poetry collections; Paradise, Indiana and The Year We Studied Women.

The workshop will include reading and writing exercises, but will mainly being a round table critique on the work of participants. There is no fee for the workshop, but it is stressed that participants are responsible for making enough copies of your work to share with workshop participants.

To apply, you must submit a letter of interest and a 5 to 10 page sample of your work. Include your name, address, home and work phone numbers and email address. For those that would like to have their samples returned to them, it is advised that you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Mail materials to
